Behind the mountain with the seven gnoms ...

is the beginning of a famous German fairy tale and to be here is also little like a fairy tale. Here, this means in a small village with around 200 people living here and all are farmers and live in a very simple and looking old fashioned style without internet and these things we all have in our life and so all here is much different than in our 'high civilization'.

This is the kick, this is the ultimative kick and the kind of living here is the fairy tale ... for me. For those ones who live here its normal, its their daily routine and they don't know the advantages of material life. But they are happy.

JAI NEPAL

Here is the place for the first round earthbaghouse building in a round design, a room for a primary school and for village activities in the size of 5m round with three windows and one door initiated by 'good earth nepal' a foundation which is teaching earthbag building systems to others and also realized and realize many many projects and buildings in the area around Kathmandu and also in India ...

A workshop which teaches me to build such houses was booked already long time ago and now it is the right time to join this project and support the realization. I am not alone here, villagers, labors and volunteers help, also an architect and an engineer from good earth nepal are 'in this boat.

5 nations are working here together to make good (earth) for Nepal and here for the education of children. The village has 50 houses and around 200 people and the beginning was a common action.

First the area for the school has to be leveled and cleaned and everything and there is the holy big tree, grown from two trees which made some problems for the future. A long stick was in the way and it has to be made away. But we are in a Hindu country, so first there must be first a puja for the tree to say 'pardon for cutting your arms'. The first day was filled up with preparations and the really first day started with a puja to this tree and the villagers were watching and helping to cut the needed parts with an ax and with nice sound and now the area has to be cleaned again.

After the arm of the tree fell down we had to start with cutting metal stick for the construction later in the size of 4 and 5 feet. Simple tools and crazy conditions and strong foreigners who did the job well and the villagers cut the tree in small pieces and much wood can give much food, because here they cook with wood. The next road is fare away and gas is rare. The little gardens here are full of vegetables and the animals are around for the food later. Harmony wherever you look and the majestic mountains in the back give the full picture of being in a fairy tale. Peace is created with building up work from 5 nations and this is the view, this is the thing we need in these days. Helping each other, supporting each other and doing adventurous things in the middle of nowhere, where no cars are heared and the internet is on low speed and only usable in the night. JAI NEPAL
